Water

The average temperature is rising. Our daily exercise effort is rising. We need to drink more water. A half a dozen people have described the "bent" feeling we get when we are dehydrated. We would bet there are many more folks feeling bent and not saying anything. Water absolutely, positively can and will make you feel better if you drink it. Coffee and Coke will make you more dehydrated. Sweet tea will make you more dehydrated. Beer, Wine and Liquor are all diuretics that will make you dehydrated. These Mormon's we see on the billboards all over town probably get a lot less dehydrated than your average redneck.

DRINK MORE WATER

Fellowship and Fitness

There is a group of folks who have found Boot Camp to be their chosen discipline for fitness. The folks that make up this group have come to know each other pretty well. Boot Camp has a way of exposing people. We don't care who you are in the world, you cant fake it in our workouts. When we leave our house, family, and car and step on to the track for the warm up, it is just us in our fancy underwear with like minded folks in there underwear.

We don't exactly bear our souls and share our inner most selves. We damn sure get to know each others outsides (walk, stride, shape, sound, smell, ....). Many folks that have been in this pack for years can anticipate every ones next move. We become creatures of habit easily identified in the pack.

Enter some new blood into the pack. How difficult and scary is it to show up in the dark to a mad man screaming and 40 people cool with it? Not to mention, this group does what in an hour? It is a lot. So what do we do? Encourage them. Tell them they are doing great. Give them a pat on the back.
