We draw power in the workout from each other. We do far more exercise in any workout together than one alone!

Cold

After spending time with the blood relatives, the Boot Camp Family returned today for the final week of the session. All the Princesses showed up today. PBC was in full glory. The Triple Nickel crowd was big and we made the best of it. We did the long version of the Church Run, 4 miles, 600 repetitions of core body exercises.

The cold can benefit fitness training. The body has to work harder in the cold to generate power. This added element increases calorie burn. More calories burned = thinner.

F it...

Many folks have a common thought or saying for doing or not doing the thing that should or should not be done.

Alarm goes off, time to get out of bed for the workout... F    it, go back to sleep.
Get to work/school, there is a box of donuts, F    it, have another
Go to lunch, look at the menu, F    it, have a cheeseburger
Go back to work/school, need to finish the project, F    it, go to the bar
Time to go home, F    it, have another drink
Sunday morning, time to go to Church... F    it, skipping this week

The "F    its" is the universal term for choosing the option inconsistent with our current objectives and contrary to the better good of those we serve.
November and December are the most common months for getting the "F    its". Why not, everyone else is doing it.

Thanks to the 19 folks who worked out with us this morning. If you hadn't made, we would have had to work out without you.

Coolest Race You'll Ever Run

Peachtree Road Boot Camp has spent years developing ways to keep exercise fun and interesting. We try to think outside the box while providing workouts that are challenging with strict adherence to our discipline.

The MLK Day 5K is a fitness event that attempts to do the same thing. We think we have a hit!!

We have commitments from Grady HS, North Atlanta HS, Mays HS, and perhaps Morehouse College and Corretta Scott King HS for DRUMMERS!!! We will have 120+ drummers lining the 3.1 mile race course. The course will never leave the Park.

The constant beating of the drums will provide a vibe and a rhythm that will keep your paces up tempo.

Beautiful Piedmont Park has given us a USAFT Certified race course that runs over grass, road, gravel, wooden bridge and the Active Oval's crushed rock. Anyone who has ever run in Piedmont Park will Love this course.

Days in a Row

An apple a day keeps the Doctor away. Another Day another Dollar. Tomorrow is another day. All we have is today!  Today is another chance for a new beginning. Everyday is. Everyday is a priceless opportunity.

When we are injured and cant work out, it hurts. When we miss for no good reason, it really hurts.
