The Old School Brick workout on the Church Campus

Strength and Speed  We had two first this morning. The first first was quite a surprise we thought we would never witness. Irene corrected us on her days of attenance. She said we had given her one too many days. "I missed one day" she said. See, she is counting her days and wants us to keep an accurate accounting of her days. She asked us to take a day back.

The second first was quite refreshing. During our warm up, out of town visiter/marathoner Julieanne spotted our crew on Peachtree St. Recognizing our fitness, she decided to join us. She worked out with us today and claims she is going to join our group. Beautiful. This is the finest group of fitness finatics in all the land. It takes one to know one and we are always glad to add to the pack.

We ran the two outside loops around the church(one mile) for a warm up then ran 3 inside loops(mile and a half) with weights in hand. We stopped and performed 500 repetitions of various arm, shoulder and back exercise along the way. Then we dropped the weight and lined up. We cruised 2 half miles in the neighborhood behind the church at 10K race pace.
