Wellness Programs

Who does this? Who rises every morning before dawn to run around town in their underwear? What group routinely cranks out three and a half miles and 600 repetitions of various exercise in an hour before most of Atlanta wakes up? We do!

To us it is normal. The rest of Atlanta thinks we are nuts. As our good Preacher Charles like to point out all the time, the modern world looks way different than just a few years ago. We are all "connected" electronically. All the "information" we receive comes from a screen. What is happening is we are seated and spoon fed. In today's modern world, we could live completely on our own properties and never leave... EVER. So, we are more sedentary.

WE get "information" the old fashion way. We get out of bed, drive to the meeting place, look into each others eyes, hug, kiss, shake hands and work out. THAT is our connection.

Dave Delmonte sent these articles. If your bosses are not paying for Boot Camp, send them this...

Obesity and its related illness account for $73 billion in U.S. corporate health care costs, and the average annual employer health insurance premium has doubled to $15,073 in the decade spanning 2001 in 2011. As a result, employers’ return-on-investment for wellness programs – which, according to the infographic, can reach up to 600 percent, as demonstrated through reduced health care claims, increased worker productivity and improved morale – can be priceless.
