L.S.D. vs Speed for weight loss


It is a common misconception that L.S.D. is best for promoting weight loss. It is true that L.S.D. is wonderful for getting thin. BUT, L.S.D. is most effective when combined with SPEED.

Long Slow Distance alone produces long slow runners. Slow runners are better than NO runners but fall short of one of the desired outcomes... a lean, sleek, fast body.

Fast running added to long slow running produces a strong, lean, hard body. Getting knees high and pumping arms hard frees up the hips and produces speed.

Training for a fast 5K is way more effective in producing a fitness model body than marathon training. Speed beats LSD.
