Parking Deck

When we awoke, we heard rain, thunder, lightning, wind. We imagined folks all over Atlanta rolling over and going back to sleep. Not us. We sprang. We dressed. We drove. We assembled. We departed on foot. The rain had blown through. We high tailed it to One Buckhead plaza parking deck. We did two strides and stretched. Then we ran to the top, did standing one legged presses (also good for stretching) then rode the elevator down to one. We went up two more times stopping along the way doing squats, plies, lunges, plank leg curls, leg lifts, side kicks, calf raises, inner thigh thingies and hurdle thingies. In all, 600 thingies. The thingies was the easy part. Running up parking deck ramps (hard white concrete) at race pace is tough. The group did great. It was one of our best ever group efforts. Late in the workout, the back took the inside line while the front took the outside. The result was near perfect harmonious hill training. We likey.

4 miles, 600 reps lower body, zero rain. A day on the Medium side of Hard
